This study aims to determine the locutionary speech act in an advertisement sourced from the santorii youtube channel. Data was taken from the section https://youtu.be/nEo-KzPZWnE?si=nSRYXkDFqZDyCIn9 the reason for choosing the channel is because the discussion of the advertisement is interesting in terms of font, color, and interesting advertising promotion, where there are 2 animated children’s characters and 1 animated cat character who will explain the bad effects of drinking alcohol at the age of under 20 years. Therefore, I chose the channel as a source of data that I used in this study. The method used is simikatcat, by observing the conversation of the character then the author makes a conversation script. Speech acts are divided into 5 types, namely: 1) assertive (dangenteki), 2) directive (shijiteki), 3) commissive (genmeiteki), 4) expressive (hyoushutsuteki), 5) declaration (sengenteki).
