Abstract

Instructional media are tools used to support the smooth implementation of the learning process. In learning Japanese, students often face difficulties in memorizing vocabulary, even though vocabulary mastery is one of the essential aspects of language acquisition. This research is based on a preliminary study conducted at SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung, one of the vocational high schools specializing in the automotive field. The aim of this research is to describe the process of developing instructional media using the Zoom application, which is utilized to present a three-dimensional virtual avatar via the YouTube platform. The development of this media uses the ADDIE development model. The result of this study is the creation of a series of Japanese vocabulary learning videos in the automotive field, which can be accessed through the YouTube platform and used by vocational school students in the automotive field.
