Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of spiritual education in shaping resilience attitudes among Generation Z students at MA Annur Setupatok and MA Annur Kota Cirebon. Generation Z faces complex challenges, including academic pressure, technology addiction, identity crises, cyberbullying, and mental health problems associated with the rapid digitalization of social life. Within this context, spiritual education is regarded as a strategic approach for strengthening students' mental endurance, emotional regulation, and character formation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies involving madrasah principals, teachers, homeroom teachers, religious mentors, and students. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility strengthened through source, method, and time triangulation. The findings reveal that the two madrasahs apply different yet equally effective models of spiritual education. MA Annur Setupatok implements a systematic model through routine worship practices, brief religious talks, congregational prayer, and the integration of spiritual values into classroom instruction, while MA Annur Kota Cirebon adopts a more flexible and holistic approach rooted in teacher exemplification, thematic curriculum design, and pesantren-based spiritual guidance. Spiritual education is shown to enhance students' discipline, self-awareness, emotional control, problem-solving ability, and endurance in facing the pressures of digital life. This study concludes that Islamic value-based spiritual education contributes significantly to building resilient character among Generation Z students within the madrasah environment.
